  • An exchange of views about my little piece...

    Hi,
First of all, sorry for my bad English. Although I'm not the worst pupil in my English class (I'm 17), I'm sure that you will find some mistakes in the text...

I'm not sure if it is allowed or not, but I want to get some opinions about my little piece "Sadness of the cities", which I wrote on the ocassion of the same titled poem by Fusenegger (if somebody knows it).
The piece starts with a very simple theme, which should describe the innocence of nature.
Because the author and some political groups needed the piece as soon as possible, I had a very less amount of time to write it. (Only 3 days - incidentally - school and workshops till 6 p.m.)

So all the pupils & teachers, which I count to my circle of friends, are not really interested in composing of orchestral works. Althought they are as well musicians ...
The .mp3 file is located on: http://homepage.mac.com/musicmaster1 - there you only have to click the Download Button, beside : "Traurigkeit der Städte", which is the German titled of the poem.
If it doesn't work at the first time you click on the Button, try it once again.

I hope that I get some comments about "Sadness of the cities".
    Thanks!

    Nice greetings from Upper-Austria,
    Hans-Peter Gasselseder!

Ps.: The whole piece was made on a single G4 ...

  • [:D] Wonderful, wonderful and fun. But You need to list the software that you used
and was it all VSL or... was none of it VSL? What mac os?

    !#!#

  • Hi 1313,
    Thanks for your reply! [:D]
That's the list of the Software I used:

Sequencer: Logic Audio Platinum 6 in Mac OS 9.2
    Reverb: Altiverb 2
All other Plug-Ins like EQ and the other stuff were integrated in the Sequencer.

Hardware: PowerMac G4 Dual 1,25 GHz
    Motu 828
    M-Audio Studiophile Monitors
Unfortunately it wasn't VSL, because at this moment I don't have enough money to buy it. I spent all my money in my little setup and so I went bust.
I don't want to call the name of the library I used, because it would be unfair to do something like that in a VSL forum.

So, I hope to get some comments about my piece.
    Thanks!

    Greetings,
    Hans-Peter!
