This Strings of the Pro-edition were the only reason I did not go ahead with the Pro-Edition, I find the strings in the Pro-edition need more improvement, to sound more realistic. Instead I purchased the Horizon series "Chamber Stirings", and "Solo Strings" .
I am hoping that the Next Generation Strings that will be in the "Symphonic Cube", will do just that ! Will be more dynamic, better timbre, more detail, more warmth, and with a singing character, more expressive power, ...etc.
This is a critical topic, and hopefuly users of the Pro-edition will understand my point, I just think that the Strings in the Pro-edition need to be improved, they just sounded a bit on the cold, rigid side, and sometimes a bit fake/sampled to my ears. when compared with real strings.
Strings are one of the most critical sections of the orchestra, so, I am being critical as well, I am looking forward to hearing the Strings offered in the Symphonic Cube. Hopefully they will earn their respect, and become the world's best sounding sampled strings library money can buy. A big step up from the Pro-Edition Strings.
Good Times Ahead
