  • How to trigger a new articulation..but not play a sound?

Hi, I'm trying to use VSL Special Edition with Synchron player for the song Viva La Vida by Cold play.

I need to trigger an articulation change from sustain to staccato mid song. (I'm using this in combination with the live gigging software Gig Performer)

I can trigger an articulation change...but the trouble is this also plays a sound at the same time...which thus sounds like a 'bum' note when I change the articulation.

My Roland xp80 doesn't have enough keys to choose something outside the range...I don't think!

Gig Performer lets me block notes on some parts of the keyboard via their midi in block...but the trouble is this also blocks the articulation change notes!

I could potentially choose another midi controller..I can see this will work....but is there some way to have Synchron player to stop some notes from sounding in upper octaves? Thanks!

  • Hello Mavros!

This sounds like the keyboard range has been extended over the keyswitch area. Please make sure that you use the latest Synchron Player version and reload the preset in Synchron Player. If you are working with a custom preset, edit the keyboard range or the keyswitches so they don't overlap.

    Best regards,
    Andi
