  • Strange CPU spike in Synchron Piano Player

    Hi Folks,

I am getting used more and more with the synchron piano player. One thing I found out is a bit strange and limits the performance of my studio gear:

I am experiencing a 100% CPU load spike sometimes when the sustain pedal is released. It is clear for me, that in this case the CPU has to calculate the release samples / damping behavior. But the load in this situations is often only 10%.

I tried deactivating the continuous pedal option, deactivated the sympathetic resonance simulation, built still I am experiencing this strange 100% load spikes only whilst releasing sustain pedal.

Also: If I leave pianos keys pressed and release the pedal NO spike. Only if all keys are NOT pressed and the piano is “swinging” out and I release the sustain pedal > 100% spike.

Strange also: Not in every situation this spikes occur. Sometimes a whole session long no spike.

Problem is that some of theses spikes produce a “crackle” sound :-(.

Everybody else experiencing this? Any Tipps what to avoid that? I also tried “splitting” load in my DAW (Ableton). Same problem.

    Thanks

    Alexander
