What exactly are the Synchron library Patch updates for? As far as I can tell, they don't appear to add any new samples or overwrite existing patches, but just appear to add extra "Patch Update" files in the library folder. My main concern is that these updates don't screw up any of my user presets and how they work, since I've spent a lot of time creating them (especially due to all the articulations each instrument has). Again, I'm referring to the updates to the actual Synchron libraries themselves (Synchron Woodwinds, Brass, etc.), not the Synchron Player or Vienna Assistant.

Ok, so yes it does appear that the current updates add Prime compatible patches. The reason I asked about the User presets is because I use to create all my own presets for Kontakt libraries as well. However, if a company eventually released an update that either added new/edited samples, or fixed any issues in the actual factory presets, then of course those changes would not be reflected in your own user presets since they were made before the update released. You then would have no choice but to recreate all new user presets for that library from the new updated factory ones in order to take advantage of the changes. Of course Kontakt was a full-fledged sampler though, not a sample player, so not sure if that makes any difference as to how the factory/user presets are stored and accessed.

Actually, i just noticed that there is an update for Elite Strings library as well. However, I don,t believe it would include Prime compatible patches, since Elite Strings are not included in the Prime version. So I;m not really sure what that update is for. It would be helpful in Vienna Assistant if it said exactly what was new in the updated libraries as it does for software updates.
