    I bring this confusion on myself for trying to learn too many new things at once, but in my attempt to learn Studio One (primarily for the ease of sound variations), I am confused how MIR 3D fits into all this.  

    First of all it seems sound variations aren't supported with VE so I have to open an instance of synchron player for each instrument.  If this is true, does MIR 3D become a plugin on the Main output channel?  I also want to take the time to learn Dorico and I'm guessing I'll run into the same issue there as well.  

    Hope this is the right part of the forum.  I didn't see a 'nitwits' section.

    Hi Steve,

    I'm not familiar with the finer details of Studio One, sorry to say so. As far as I know this DAW doesn't support any kind of surround- or 3D formats, so you will have to stick to stereo anyway (.... which MIR 3D is perfectly able to produce, of course).

    Regarding routing details and special applications I hope that Studio One-savvy forum members will chime in ...

    Thank you Dietz.  I do have a couple questions submitted to Personus support so hopefully specifics regarding Studio One will be addressed.  

    I guess one question you might be able to answer is generally speaking can one connect multiple instances of the Synchron Player to MIR 3D(24)?  We can start there and that'll let me know where to look next.

    Synchron Player and MIR 3D are both plug-ins that would reside in the same channel (... the former feeding the latter). Every new channel will appear as "MIR Icon" in MIR 3D's main GUI. If this is what you were asking for, then the answer is "yes". :-)

    Oh ok.  I think I've got it now.  I tried what you said and on the face it sounds like it's going to open up several instances of MIR but both instruments in my test song show up in the same venue.  I think I get it now.  Thank you and again it sounds terrific!!

    Yes, that's the main concept: Bringing together all the individual players in the same room, but on their specific positions. :-) That's in fact where the "M" in MIR comes from: Multi Impulse Response.
