  • eLicencer Key vs iLok Key

    Hi,

With the eLicenser key, on any PC you connect it, you can use the VI VSL library

With ilok only on one pc.

    Bad business

    Hi,

    That's a plain misunderstanding.

You can now use our products with iLok protection with AND without a key on multiple computers.

Here is more information for you regarding license management with iLok!

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thanks, it's a relief. In VSL support they told me that it couldn't be, or I misunderstood it.

Can I upgrade to Syncrom with the offer and still use it on both of my computers?

    Thank

    Antonio

    Hello, Paul.

Does that also work with a slave pc? Is there a chance to have multiple cloud instances to spread the licenses between the slave and main pc's? The only way I'm getting it to work is having one of the computers running the iLok dongle, and the other through the iLok cloud.

  • Hi,

I live in two cities and I have installed the libraries, iLok, on my two computers without problems

  • I'm surprised to find that the iLok cloud authorization for VE Pro sort of defeats it's own purpose if you use a slave machine. I have two VE Pro licenses and several VSL libraries. In order to run one of my machines as a slave I need to activate a VE Pro license on that machine. But as the iLok cloud cannot be open on both computers simultaneously, I can only use BOTH licenses on ONE computer at a time, not one license on each. I do have an iLok key as well so my only option is to move one of the VE Pro licenses and all the libraries onto that key, and then open the cloud session on the slave machine. I can't do it the other way around, since there are other licenses on my iLok key that can't be transferred to the cloud.

It would be really really nice if it would be possible to store a VE Pro license locally on the computer instead.
