    Dear colleagues! Having a kind of interference going on in Ableton Live 11 with CC11 (expression) & CC1 (modulation or Vel.XF): When recording (Synchron Strings Pro), the curves of the above commands are written in the Arrangement View. However, the same curves are also recorded in the Clip at the same time (visible in the Envelopes tab) as a MIDI command. As a result, when playing, the two somehow cancel each other out (grey curves in the Arrangement View). Only remedy is to delete the curves in the clip. What's going on? Does that possibly have something to do with the "Vienna Instruments MIDI"? Vienna Instruments MIDI on or off in the DAW, either way doesn't do a thing. 

    That would actually be my other 2nd question... What is Vienna Instruments MIDI, what is it needed for?

    Hi Norberto,

    That's weird indeed. Vienna Instruments MIDI is a virtual MIDI driver we are using for the VI Remote App and also for the MIDI Dump feature in VI Pro.

    It somehow sounds like your input get duplicated somewhere... How are you recording CC11 and CC1?
