  • [OT] Flooded VSL?

Excuse me for the OT, but the terrifying images from flooded Switzerland and Austria...

    [[:|]]

    Any news from the Danube?

    China

  • Now that is what i call a nice question ...

I think the situation is extremly serious in the western parts of Austria. Vienna itself (which is several hundred km's eastwards) is ok, as far as i can say.

    ... thanks again for asking.

    Kind regards,

http://www.donau-fritzi.at/webcam.htm might take a while to load ...
currently the danube is 5.40 mt and is expected to go up to 6 mt.

along vienna 1972 has been buildt a second riverbed to avoid a flood hitting occupated areas - a view from the danube tower - you might to zoom out a little bit

the western countryside is still really in trouble, although the rain gave them a break currently

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • mmm... Danube appears not as blue, but Vienna looks dry.

Perhaps it's time for politicians to get serious about climate change

Thank you for the links, regards,
    China
