Mac guy here, have little experience with PCs and LANs.
I’m about to buy a PC slave for Vienna Ensemble Pro etc.
The motherboard I’m looking at (ASUS PRIME Z490-P) has only one Ethernet port and no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
Can I access internet via a switch and another computer (connected to the same switch) that has internet access?
If not, should I find another motherboard or get a PCIe card with ethernet/Wi-Fi?
Is there a reason to have my slave connected to the internet at all times?
Also, what about file format between macOS and Windows, can I download/install VSL libraries on my Mac and copy them over LAN to the PC slave?
