If anyone has tried Music Lab's RealGuitar, youi'll know what an excellent, intuitive and effective VI it is. But...the sound is not as nice as VSL's Concert Guitar IMO (at least for solo or classical-sounding guitar).
Now, a combination of the VSL Concert Guitar library with the RealGuitar interface would be superb!! Here's a quote from their website;
"MusicLab, Inc. is open for any kind of co-operation in the field of creating musical software and hardware."
They're currently developing a set of electric guitar sounds but I could imagine Overdrive would even be terrific for that! VSL have already done all the sampling work, and the standard of audio engineering and editing in Vienna is probably the best in the world right now.
Actually, the visual aspect of the RG interface is really good to use. Much easier than remembering a bunch of keyswitches, really. Imagine the same set of tricks for the sound of the VSL saxaphone, or other solo instruments!!
I think innovative people should get together and create even more brilliant things!
What do you think, please, Herb?
