    HI sinswolf,

Please use the latest version of Vienna Ensemble PRO, and you can always send crash reports to support@vsl.co.at, best as text files, for easier management.

In this case, it looks like MSVCR120.DLL is missing, this might help:

  • Hi Paul,

I run the latest version of Ensmble Pro 7.0.789 on my PC

In the internet I found a newer MSVCR120.dll in c:\windows\system32 and changed it with the current one (from 2013). After substituting the lite different MSVCR120.dll I could delete the channel in Ensemble Pro 7 . But starting my DAW Cubase I've got an error message

Fatal error - c:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\play_VST_x64.dll could not be loaded.....

Error Details: DLL MSVCR120.dll cannot be loaded.

Fortunately I didn't delete the old MSVCR120.dll. So I restored the old one and Cubase runs with vst_play_x64 which will be used by EastWest. I look for the newest version of the EW player

What MSCRV120.dll do you use? and can you send me this ? In the attachment you'll find a screenshot of the error message!

  • It is not a good idea to replace this dll with some other. The dll is from the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package, so you should dowload and install that instead. The number 120 is the version, burt at the moment I dont know which version will match. I think 2012, but I am not sure.
