Do I get a significant advantage spliting the library over several drives ?

My concern is the best way to install the Steinway D, but it may concern all VSL libraries in general. (I don’t see nothing about this in the Synchon Piano PDF)
In my case it's two M2 drives.
Intuitively I would say yes (several stream channels are theoretically better than one).
But with M2 technologies I’m not so sure.

Hi Gabriel,
it depends on your computer setup. If the M.2 drives are sharing the CPU lanes, there will be no speedup.
If they use seperate lanes this could improve your performance. You should read your mainboards manual to see how your M.2 slots are configured.
I have the CFX Standard installed on two separate SATA SSDs to split the load. I did not see that much imporvement. If I need real-time input, I can lower my buffer-size to 512 and if I disable the build-in algorithmic reverb in the mix tab, I can go further down to 256 without dropouts.
If I do not need real-time processing (Buffer size of 1024 or 2048) everything works fine with tons of effects added in the mix.
