I wrote in another thread, but maybe my post got lost in all these recent ugly "discussions". Everyone has the right to post his/her opinion, and I don't want this thread to go into this direction, too.

I like the walkthrough video of Synchron Strings I and I'm wondering if there will be some for the synchron-ized libraries. I assume that the target group for these libraries especially are new VSL customers and it would be very handy to continue this walkthrough idea in order to have a glimpse of all the articulations and to hear it in action. It's just an idea, but I think it would help immensly. Maybe it's on the list already. 😊

Also, I'm missing some important information under the "sample content" tab. With Synchron Strings I we have been introduced to the number of velocity layers and round robins for the first time. It would be handy to have these points for the synchron-ized libraries, too. And I think there aren't all articulations listed. For the synchon-ized Appassionata Strings there is no "marcato" listed, but you can see it in the GUI screenshots.

On the other hand, I don't like all the overview videos (in which text is shown on the left beside Paul), the recent one is for the synchron-ized Chamber Strings, I think. But you can learn quite a bit from these videos which isn't in the product texts.

Another idea is to have a video for Synchron Strings I "in action". Many of the users (me included) aren't happy, in particular with the legatos. I think you guys know it and can't hear it anymore. But maybe we simply don't know how to use this library properly, especially with "soaring" lines. If you guys are happy with the results of the library, so please show us how to use it. 😃 And I mean VSL, not user demos.

So to make a long story short: Is there a chance to have more walkthrough videos?

  • Hi,

There is always a chance, but there is also very little time.
I will do my best, but please don't hold your breath.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Thanks, Paul. I can understand you.

But, as I said, I think you and all (new) users would benefit from the videos, especially new users deciding to buy it. The new demos sound great, but a video shows you all the aspects. There are a lot of user videos on YouTube from other developers' libraries, but not so much from VSL. So it would help. :)
