    My new Synchronstrings exploration recording:
    Felix Weingartners "Lustige Ouvertüre" op.53 just went online.
     
    10 Minutes seldom heard wonderful brilliant rollicking and most 'sentimental'😉 waltzing music, of G.Mahlers viennese successor (who was btw the very first conductor, who ever recorded the complete 9 Beethoven Symphonies)
     
    Libraries used:
    • Synchron Strings,
    • Synchron Percussion,
    • for Divisi passages with Synchronized Chamber Strings,
    • Dimension Brass
    • Woodwinds from the Cube.
    • Only for 8 notes I added a "sulponte" Patch from the Cube Orchestral strings
    • a short few notes Melody for VSL Solo-Violin and another for VSL-Solocello.
     
    (But not a single passage has been "layered" with Synchron and previous Sectionstring Libraries)
     
     
    Whatever "opinion" anyone here might have - I have had fun with that virtuos unknown music and the Synchron libraries, which allows me to realise music like that.

    Hi Steffen,

    Congratulations with this piece. I enjoyed the beautiful music and the "players".
    There were only a few moments that gave away in my ears that it is sampled music. 
    I must say - this is not the first time that I experienced it - that on the monitors that are connected to the computer, it gave a little more away that it is sampled music than on my stereo set, which has a more layed back character (but beside that both speaker sets are very much the same, it's the same brand).
    In the first violins and celli there are some very beautiful singing cantabile moments, but almost all strings passages were really convincing, not only the short notes but also the most legato passages, the sound and the expression.
    I don't know what you think about this version of the music, I think that the strings are a strong point in it (and I don't mean here the composition but the "players").
    So the applause (as it should be always with the music, that is heard on this forum) is not only for the one who made this version of the "Lustige Ouvertüre" of Felix Weingartners, but also for the team of VSL. Bravo!!

    (But, indeed, this is just my opinion 😊  ...)

    (That was very courageous considering what weird reactions I am used to receive in this Forum recently by a couple of "well known" opinion-posters here)

    And yes, I am more and more encouraged to use the Synchron Strings for all orchestral needs at least beginning from 19th century up to the modern Orchestra and now personally would like to work as soon as possible with a complete Synchron Orchestra, since currently I do still feel still some difficulties to really unify acousticly the different Libraries (Cube-Woodwinds, Dimension-Bass- Synchron-VI-Percussion and Synchron-Player Strings). At least I expect that would be much easier with a complete Synchron Series - supported only from time to time by patches or instruments of other VSL-Libraries.

    However my Synchron explorations will continue (as yours do obviously liklewise😊) in the next weeks with still a couple of other mostly 20th century scores.
