  • Hi Craig,

The preset conversion is already taking place and we're adding a few percussion-related features right now.
We will contact all Synchron Percussion users when the download files are ready, my estimate is beginning of August, hopefully a bit sooner.

    Best,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

That is wonderful news. Looking forward to late summer!

As an aside, I purchased the Standard Library for Synchron percussion when it was first released ... hesitating as to my need for the additional microphone positions, as I do not mix in surround  ... but I have subsequently gone for the Full Library of Synchron Strings, FX Strings and Yamaha CFX and have been very glad that I did so for the stereo downmixing flexibility enabled by the additional microphone positions ... so naturally I am now eager to upgrade my Synchron Percussion to the Full library. Of course I can do so at any time but ... just sayin' ... were VSL to offer a special price for Synchron Percussion Full Library upgrades, perhaps coinciding with the release of the Synchron player-format library set, such an offer would be met with great enthusiasm (and with my cash!).  Just a wild and crazy and very self serving marketing suggestion. 😉

Keep up the great work - much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Craig

    Hello Paul,

"Beginning of August" : do you know when exactly ?

    Best,

    François

  • Hi Francois,

I understand your interest, but also do VSL that it will deserve "some" work to bring Presets of vast Libraries like the Synchron Series in the Sy Player-Format. It will come and if Paul indicates that they are already working on, than it will even presumably be the next thing to be released. Let it be one or two weeks sooner or later, I understand, that they will have a priority to avoid premature releases and therfore avoid to give to much statements about any concrete relesedates..

    Hello François,

We have a few pretty cool surprises up our sleeves for Synchron Percussion / Synchron Player (yes, those will also benefit other Synchron Series products 😊).

Unfortunately that also means some more waiting-time, as we are doing our best to balance our way through the holiday-season.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Best,
    Paul

"To be serious", I am sure you can't wait to discuss "how to improve" it😉

  • Will it be ready by the end of August? Or early Sep?

  • Hi,

September is more likely, from today's perspective.

  • A little strange that older libraries are getting Synchonized, before Synchron percusion is Synchonized...

  • Hi Paul, Can you give us some recent news? We are so impatient 😉 François

  • Great, I am looking foward to the Player!
Additionally, I am looking foward to Percussion II, and Harp. In other words, all the instruments with decaying sounds!

  • Hi everybody,

The great news first: Synchron Percussion I sounds and feels incredible now in the Synchron Player, and the options we provide with the new integrated FX plug-ins are more than impressive.

And here's the downside that is a  bit harder for me to tell you: The preparation of this last step takes slightly longerthan expected, so we are looking at a release of this essential update in the course of october.

I know that we have tested your patience with Synchron Percussion I, and I have to add that this is not in purpose.

Best wishes from your hard-working VSL Team!

  • It is SAD to hear the delay, since FX plugins seems to be an addition which I should be able to live without.

I just need a simple plugin interface which enables me to use different microphone settings easily like Syncron Piano player without any need of Vienna Ensemble software... It would have been great if VSL released the workable software first, since we can update it later in this day and age...
