Best suggestions for panning channels in Sibelius Playback.

Hi Everyone.

 

I'm completly new to the world of VSL as ive just bought the Solo Strings complete Library having used EWQL Symphonic for ages.

I've got to say that i'm absolutley staggered at how wonderful this library sounds, and i'm already saving for a full orchestral library as soon as funds allow.

I use Sibelius exclusivley, and the soundset works a treat and everything appers to work perfectly and ive got the Mirx extensions as well for Vienna Instruments Pro.

The playback is already lightyears ahead of what i was able to achieve with the EWQL Play engine, and the tunes ive worked on to test everything sound lovely in the positions available in Mirx, and i'll appologise now if this is a really stupid question!

 

Is it best to leave the panning of vienna Ensemble in the centre position, or should i also pan the channels to match the position in the reverb?

Hi Pieman,

MIRx does panning for you. No need to adjust the panning in VE.
(You could do that if you want to tweak the position a little bit, but if you like what you hear no need to do so).
