    What is the recommended networking set up for Mac Pro 6,1 + two (2) Mac Mini slave computers?

    I've set the static IP addresses and subnet masks as directed. Using one or the other Mac Mini w/ Mac Pro works fine.

    Adding the second Mac Mini to the Mac Pro's second ethernet port is causing problems. More specifically, screen sharing is unreliable on the second mac mini and VEP6 in my host (PT12) is not even seeing the second mini. 

    Do I just need a gigabit switch and use only 1 ethernet port on the Mac Pro?

    Hi Fixxer49,

    I have also just replied to your email support request.

    The two network ports on your Mac Pro are in fact completely separated and combining them is therefore not suitable for building a VE Pro network.

    Please use only one of the Ethernet ports of your Mac Pro and get a Gigabit switch/router!
