An original composition for orchestra, reflecting upon images of Antarctica. The composition is in the form of a Passacaglia. Instrumentation is all VSL full libraries using; 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 4 horns (Vienna, Triple and two Dimension Brass), Cornet, and Orchestral Strings. The reverb is MIRx. Thanks for listening. Any comments good or bad are appreciated.

  • That sounds really good - the Passacaglia is not an easy form to work in!

  • A beautifully haunting composition.  Both composition and recording were nicely done!  Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you William and Jasensmith. I am happy with the composition, but not entirely happy with the mix. I'm not really sure what I need to do to make the mix better. I just bought MIR Pro and I will be experimenting with it.

  • Hi Paul,

A very nice composition with a thrilling theme. I particularly like the constant alternation with dissonants/consonants. A lot is going on on icy Antarctica!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks Max. I appreciate the positive comments.
