  • All Audio Inputs Stop Making Sound When Some Are Activated

I have a consecutive bank of 8 stereo stems (the last in my chain that merge into the stereo mixbus). I've inserted Audio Inputs on all 8 so as to offload some stem mastering and "summing" duties. I mix into stereo on the slave and it returns to a plugin instance that then goes directly into the mixbus.

    1/2 = Drums, 3/4 = Drums Fx, 5/6 = Bass, 7/8 = Instruments, 9/10 = Instruments Fx, 11/12 = Vocals, 13/14 = Vocals Fx, 15/16 = Aux

Quite simple and straightforward. Alll seemed well. It's working perfectly for the stems I happened to work on first, Drums, Bass and Instruments.

But if I power on the Audio Input on my Drums Fx, the audio stops going through, "mutes" (simply no sound, not an actual mute per se).

Same thing happens if I enable the Audio Input on the Instruments Fx. Same with all enabled.

Likewise, as soon as I power off the Audio Inputs on the offending channels, the 3 that work (Drums, Bass, Instruments) come back to life and audio flows through them again.

Basically, it's in a situation where oddly only the Drums, Bass and Instruments will work.

I've tried reloading the Audio Inputs, reassigning, ensuring outputs are set correctly, maxing the buffer setting, rebooting everything (of course), etc., but no luck.

    It's such a weird behavior.

My master host is Windows 7 running Studio One V3 (latest version). The slave is Windows 10. 64 bit version of VEP 6 Server (latest version as of this time of writing), unpreserved instances at max buffer and thread settings.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
