  • Vienna instruments and Eucon bug

    I have a huge problem with vienna instrument and the eucon protocol. as soon i use vienna my controller looses connection. vienna is the only plugin does that, other then that eucon works flawless. 

    i have tested it on different osx (yosemite, el capitan, sierra) in cubase, logic and pro tools in varies versions, the bug exists everywhere. 

    this is so anoying..:( 

    can anybody help?

    How are you using "vienna"?

    Thanks for getting back to me. There is nothing special, i just load the vienna plugin in an empty session, after a few minutes the control surface looses its connection. Tested with Artist Mix, Artist Control, S3 and the Dock. 

    There is no particular step involved, i can just load the plugin and walk away, come back after a few minutes and the connection is lost.

    It happens with the free player as well as the Pro Player. The Vienna Ensemble Plugin works without a problem.

    To be able to use the surface again i have to restart the DAW. (Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools)

    So the best workaround for now is to use Vienna Ensemble, correct? What speaks against this solution?

  • Sure i do that in some sessions where i use alot of orchestral stuff. but in a Pop Production i like to use all the VI's inside the DAW. 

    It would be greatly appreciated if you guys would look into it, because Vienna is the only plugin causing this.

    My colleague Marnix is looking into this, and unfortunately we have to confirm this behaviour with VI/VI PRO and EuCon. 

    We will try to get to the bottom of this, but it is not our #1 priority at the moment. 

    I hope the available work-around with VE / VE PRO is not too much of a hassle.
