  • VE Pro 6 Window behavior

    Greetings

Ever since I started using VE Pro last summer, I've struggled to master its window behavior (on Mac OS X, Yosemite for now). I've worked out a keyboard shortcut to hide the app, because it always seems to force itself to the front. That is not currently my problem, though.

Within the app (server version), I am looking for a way to alter the priority of windows, so that the window with all of the instances - not a mixer window - is in front. I often have the problem that the instance window is hidden underneath numerous mixers. I'm working between two monitors, and the mixer windows don't seem to extend from the lower to the upper monitor, so I have no way to get behind to the window I need. When I click "show all" on the dock, I see the window I'm looking for, but there is no way to grab it - if I select it I'm just back to those mixer windows.

I realize I may be missing something about the OS here, though I haven't had this problem with other programs. Would appreciate any advice, and I hope I've described this problem clearly.

  • Just bumping up to the top in hopes that someone can help me here. Am I really the only one that has this problem? I cannot access the main server window of my VE Pro project... I see it when I select "show all windows" but can't access it otherwise. Usually this doesn't happen, but now it has and my project is at a standstill because I cannot adjust individual instruments. This is the case whether or not I am using two monitors or one.

  • Hi shnootre,

I have also just replied to your support request by email.

Have you already tried to use the "Reset Windows" command from the "View" menu?

    Best, Marnix
