Simple question. I know the advanced artics and playing techniques in Special Edition + don't work w/ the VSL SE HP preferences (and I understand about using the keyswitch dump). But if I use an SE+ matrix, do the simpler artics still work (pizz, aroc, tremolo, staccato)?

With SE+ matrices, do the basic VSL HP articulations still work?

Although... I think the real trick is sticking w/ the basic SE matrices, and adding patches from the + lib. in an additional row (y axis). That way, I can have the mutes one one row, and the ponticello on another. HP can still trigger stacatto, sustain, tremolo, and all that's required is an expression changing the y-axis value.
Slowly making sense of this. It is challenging because Finale offers absolutely no support for their HP settings if you're not using Garritan or Soft Synth. (Their manual absolutely doesn't tell you how to navigated the Human Playback Preferences dialogue, so there's a lot of trial and error involved. - I can't imagine why they don't see supporting their own application's ability to work w/ professional sample libraries other than Garritan as a priority. Maybe Dorico, if it ever gets itself together, will light a fire under their butts).
