    i recently bought and installed VEP 5 it seemed to be working fine but suddenly i noticed that the vienna instrument icon (which i use with epic orchestra) has gone from the VEP 5 interface... it was there and working before, my vienna key is fine and the plugin is scanned... there must be a simple solution to this that i have missed

    Did you install it again after installing VEP5? If not, do so.
