Hello,
I have recently upgraded my computer, and am currently trying to install Vienna Imperial samples to the new computer. Downloading the samples again was going to take 4 days (!) so I decided to use the samples I had already saved on an external drive. I downloaded the latest Vienna Imperial Software, and I have moved the Vienna Imperial Content (samples) to the Vienna Imperial folder on the new computer because it is faster than the external drive. As I now have the sample content and the most recent software ready, I think all I have to do is install the content. The problem is that when I double-click on 'Vienna Imperial Library Installer', it asks me to lockate the package.info file (by browsing the Vienna Imperial folder) to start the installation. Unfortunately it isn't there. I can't think what I've missed, unless I should really start again and download the samples new? I was under the impression from previous advice here that the samples are exactly the same (I haven't used them since 2013) but that it is just the software which needs updated. My elicencer software and all other software is up to date, and the elicencer key is in the computer. I'm running OS X El Captain on an iMac, and planning to use it with Logic Pro X.
p.s. The problem is the same for instruments which use the 'Vienna Instruments' installer. Smaller libraries which I can download (eg celesta) install and work great, but I can't really spend 4 days downloading each of the bigger files so I need a solution to the 'package.info' problem which occurs when I transfer the sample content which I had from 2013.
Please help, I would be very grateful! Thank you :)
