  • Vienna Instrument: standard vs. "Download Instruments" location

I'm sure this is a basic, obvious thing, but for the life of me I can't figure it out:

I've downloaded a number of instruments, and have run directory manager.  When I instantiate an instrument, most of the instrument possibilities show up as one would expect in the search column.  However, two of them are nested in the "Download Instruments" folder/directory.  Looking at my drive (and within directory manager), all instruments are at the same folder level, and I'd like all to just simply show up without having to click on the Download Instruments icon to see the two instruments.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed here,

    Hello Len,

Did you check that you are using the latest versions of VI / VI PRO?

If that doesn´t help: Which are the 2 instruments?

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul, and thanks for your reply.

I've had this problem for a while, and am running the next-to-most-revent version of VI PRO (in the middle of a project right now, so can't risk it).

The two intruments are the French Oboe (07D) and Bassoon (20D).

    Thanks,

    Thanks again,

    Len

  • Hi Len,

That´s because those 2 instruments are "only" Standard Library instruments (used to be called "Download Instruments" in the history of our products).

As soon as you upgrade to the FULL Library of those instrument, they will be shown with the bigger collections.

And incidentally our special offer of the month is "25 % off all Woodwinds".... might be worth a thought!

    Best,
    Paul
