  • [SOLVED] BUG in installation of Dimension Strings II and I

I changed my SSD for Dimension violins II to another SSD, and tried to install both the complete Dimension Strings I and the Dimension Violins II.  This caused all the DimensionViolins I to disappear.   They now cannot be installed. Only Violas/Cellos/Basses are installed.  So then I uninstalled/reinstalled Vienna Instruments, Ensemble/MIR and then re-installed just Dimension Strings I without D Violins II, but somehow it was remembered that the Dimension Violins II were previously installed and the Dimension Violins I are still gone.

    Hi William,

That sounds very strange. Can you see the sample content in your Finder/Explorer?

If yes, please try the following: Open the Directory Manager (find it in "Applications" (OS X) or "All Programs" (Win) => then "Vienna Instruments").

Remove all folders - then add all sample content again by drag and drop from your Finder/Explorer.

More information about how the Directory Manager works can be found in the video "How to use the Directory Manager":

If all of this doesn´t work, please contact me at support@vsl.co.at and add a few screenshots with your mail.

    Best,

    Paul

  • I found that re-installing from the original downloaded setup files fixes it, but copying the .dat files after installation did not work and caused the non-muted violins to disappear if they are re-installed along with the Dimension Violins II.
