  • Hello VSL Community

I use the SE and love the Rails, for certain scores i might prefere a heavier Anvil though.. some of the VSL demo tracks (e.g. "Battle March" from Bill Brown) seems to feature a very powerful one, is that from the Extended Percussion Library?

    Thanks

    Francesco

    Hi Francesco,

it's quite likely that the "big" Anvil is one of the Rail-hits from the "Processed Percussion"-set (see p. 11 ff. of the Percussion Library Manual).

  • Hi Dietz

Thank you for the reply. I didn't know the Processed Percussion set, i suppose the Percussion Complete Standard Library includes the single hits from the processed set, is this right?

Looking in depth the Percussion sample content i've come to the conclusion all the Rails you've sampled are in the Standard Percussion Library (including the processed ones), and to be more specific they are under "Orchestral Percussion - Steel".

They are also included in the small Exotic Percussion bundle. All your Rails, including the beautiful one i've heard in the Bill Brown track, are in here. Aren't they?
