Mac Pro internal sound card audio quality

Is the internal audio card of the latest mac pro ok to use for listening to vsl sample playback. Does VE Pro 5 require a much better sound device to render maximum playback instruments? Cheers Leif Want to use a Mac Pro with VE Pro 5 (and vsl samples via VI Pro 2) with Sibelius 7.5. Many thanks Leif

In the case that you dont know, ALL the Macpro and Macbook have a light pipe digital out.

Macbook have it too but It is included in the headphone plug, all you need is when you buy your light pipe cable (toslink) to check if there is the adaptor for MAC

Thanks Cyril. How about the analog headphone out, will this be satisfactory on the go or cause big issues with latency? Cheers Leif
