Hi Guys
First of all sorry i can't seem to write my post in paragraphs (Forum Newbie)
Just wondering what the process is to get all of this working.
First of all I have imported the multiport layer which the cabling had to be reassigned in Logic Pro X.
I have Each VEP multi connected to its respective port 1-16 , and ports 1-16 connected to the all ports object.
I then load up a multi timbral software instrument track, connect it to the all ports object and add the Vienna Ensemble Pro Multi 16 out server plugin.
I can get Kontakt working with the software instruments multitimbral tracks with the first instance of Kontakt and i have this connected to Ve Pro Midi port one on the PC slave. I would also like to know how to setup the auxiliaries for Logic X and Ve Pro 5
My Confusion begins to happen when i want to load a second instance of Kontakt for another 16 channels in the same Ve pro 5 instance i have loaded in the original software instrument track. Do i create a new software instrument track or just more midi tracks to be able to access VE Port 2 from the multiport environment.
On the audio side of things, I also saw a guy on youtube add input channels instead of using auxiliary outs in VE Pro 5 (clicking the plus sign)and then assign them to his kontakt outs. I'm confused how to get all the stereo outputs configured as well in VE Pro 5.
Ideally I would like to have maybe 4 Kontakts for each section (Strings, Brass, Perc + Winds) in one instance of Ve Pro 5 to have 48 channels all wired to logic Pr X i guess (Be interested how anyone divides up there instances of VE Pro on a Slave PC as well)
I hope this post isn't too confusing but i was originally working with Pro tools which seemed to be a bit easier to setup than Logic.
Hopefully someone out there is using this combination.
All the best to everyone
Simon
