Maybe you have loaded a preset for a collection you don't have. The VI presets in the folder Sibelius are for our Instrument Collections and Single Instruments. The Special Edition and SE PLUS volumes work with the matrices that come with the library content. In order to use the Special Edition PLUS with Sibelius, please load the Special Edition PLUS matrices (the ones with the "+" at the end of the name) where available. For instruments without SE PLUS articulations load the normal Special Edition matrices.

merci Andi but, Presets -Sibelius -Dimension str violins all Pro, in the score is clearly written one moment con sord., he plays col legno, afterwards is played senza sord., he plays staccato, nothing else of technique text is written, really nothing, no text at all, I add legato above the note, one bar before, but he continues to play staccato I am trying to understand

It can have different reasons why articulations do not change as supposed. Please check the following things.

thank you cher Andi, most of this is and was okay. But what is most frustrating is that I do not understand why for instance the celli or violini or whatever instrument starts to play solo when nothing, absolutely nothing in the score indicates that he or she should play solo. And this is only one example. Different articulations seem happily to jump and freewheel from one box to another like anarchistic teenagers who are rebelling totally against what is written. In one way, and for a short while, this can be funny, but on the long run it rather becomes most unpleasant.

The errors you describe normally don't happen when everything is set up correctly. If you can't find the reason for the problems with the suggestions from my last mail and the Troubleshooting section of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual, you can send your score and Playback Configuration (xml file AND data folder) to and I will take a look at it.

On Mac Sibelius Playback Configurations can be found at the following folder:
Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius 7/Playback Configurations

The Users/your username/Library folder is hidden by default. To get access go to the folder Users/your username. Then choose Go/Go to folder and enter “Library”.
