    Hi,

    We are currently running a 3 computer setup. One is PT HD, one Logic and one slave. We are considering upgrading to HDX and doing it all in PT but the deal breaker has been the instrument track count in PT. Our Logic Template has around 300 tracks, the orchestral stuff is whats causing the high track count. 

    1) Has the PT instrument track limit changed? And to what number?

    2) Is there a way to load up VE PRO on a slave and access it via MIDI instead of as an instrument? (as PT has 512 Midi tracks)

    Is anybody using PT in that way here? 

    The idea comes from the useless hours transferring stuff from Logic to PT to go and record Orchestra only then having to bring it back into Logic in same cases to address further last minute changes. So we figure...lets just stay in PT all the way. I will have to get used to the Midi engine for a while but thats the easy part.

    Any thoughts?
