I purchased VE Pro and finally getting around to using it with Logic Pro X. I know how to get to work if I want to trigger a VI but my application is slightly different and was wondering if someone could help?
I want to host a 32 Bit effect in Vienna Ensemble 32 bit Server and then have all my virtual software instruments (that are in Logic Pro X) simply send to this 32bit effect plug in Vienna Ensemble server.
Here's what I am doing step by step to do this but it's not working. :(
1. Open Vienna Ensemble Pro Server 32 Bit
2. Click the Add button and give the instance a name..I used "Test and hit OK
3. Then I get the VE interface and I add an INPUT. On on the channel strip that gets created from this command I add my 32 bit reverb at the top slot
4. Where it says NO INPUT for this newly created channel in the left hand column of the interface I change this to In1/In2
Now I launch Logic Pro X
1. Now I add one track as a software instrument and instanciate Kontakt and Load up a String patch... All good and it plays fine in Logic
2. Now for this Kontakt Channel in Logic Pro X I click on SEND/BUS and choose 2, this now brings up AUX 1 Channel right next to it where I would normally put say a local reverb in Logic that I could now send to but I want to Send to the Effect in VE 32 Bit Server so I Choose for this AUX channel in the AudioFX slot AudioUnits/VSL/Vienna Ensemble Pro Audio Input Stereo.
3 This brings up the Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 Audio Input interface in Logic.
4. I click on Assign and the white screen pops up for connected server interfaces but "test" does not show up?
This is where I am stuck. I am doing this all on one machine another words I am not using 2 macs but one.
Can someone help me and point me in the right direction for this Application..maybe an easier way perhaps?
