    There is only one place I'd like a noticeable slide between a B4 to G4 on the D (4) violin string and I can't seem to achieve it.

    I've finally done it by choosing the Dimension Violins: Force D String, Perf Interval and layering the different players with different portamentos.

    You can also use the sample stretch feature within VI Pro to shorten or extend the length of a sample to get what you might need.

    Thanks. Not sure I'm doing it right  but I've stuck with the change of sample so far with perhaps a slight  stretching of the sample.
