Hi,
I've been demoing VEP5 for the last 2 weeks or so. Spending hours and hours tweaking, reading up on it, comparing with other types of
products that will help split my CPU load (e.g. Bidule), I'm finally set to buy, updated to the latest version (which seems to give improved CPU performance) and now my latest metaframes are crashing.
The Project - Logic Pro X with 5-7 instances in VEP server. (2 play - 16 instruments each/4 Kontakt4 - 16 instruments each/1 Toontrack)
I set up the templates and save them, use them in Logic perfectly but sure enough on re-opening the project the server loads the Metaframe gets
almost to the end and then quits unexpectedly.
I have tried trashing prefs, restarting, re-installing VEP but nothing seems to work. The only thing I haven't tried is rolling back to the previous
version of VEP5 but really don't want to do that if I can help it, this newer version really seemed to give me a little extra cpu headroom.
Anybody with the same issue?!
Thanks in advance!

[SOLVED] VE Pro 5.2.12844 crashes after a saved Metaframe...

[SOLVED] I re-started with a blank template and added one instance at a time each time starting up Logic. It finally got to a Kontakt4 instance preset (in fact two different ones) then it started crashing. The other K4 presets load fine so I can only assume that these two specific K4 presets have become corrupt. The only thing that seems weird is that those two presets still load in Logic directly with an instance of Kontakt. Anyway, I will recreate the two presets from scratch (not too much work) and then reload them into VEP5. I'll spend tomorrow just double checking it all that but it looks like the issue is sorted and more to the point I'll be buying VEP5 this week! Thanks for the reply and the great products!

Further update.... To get the two corrupt files working again all I had to do was load them in Kontakt standalone save under a fresh file (before I was overwriting the existing files) and then loaded them back into VEP5 and bingo. Everything is fine again!
