  • VEPro instances adds hiss to my outputs in Cubase7

Hi! I have a problem with VEPro5 when I use it within Cubase7 64 bit. The more instances of VEPro (VST3 or not) I load inside of Cubase, the more hiss is added to my output channels. This is regardless of me loading Kontakt5, Play or anything inside of VEPro or not. If I load Kontakt or Play without using VEPro, there is no hiss. I'm not sure how to remove this hiss problem, so if anyone can help I would be grateful. Thanks! My Equipment is: Windows 7 64bits PC i7-3930K. 6 cores (12 threads) CPU 3,2GHz 64GB Ram 3xSSD (for system & samples) 1xHDD 10000rpm (samples) 1xHDD 7200rpm (samples & Storage) M-Audio FW-410 Interface.

  • Do you have room noise enabled in MIR Pro?

    DG

  • That would be a likely culprit indeed. You probably have the 'Automatically add Room Tone channel to new projects' preference enabled in the Vienna MIR Pro section of the VE Pro preferences.

  • Thank you very much DG and Karel! That was an easy fix. I still have a very minor hiss on my input channels, but that might be the cables or some grounding noise. Thanks again! Nils Johan.
