Just a quick thank you - the EQ plugins in Vienna Suite are absolutely amazing!
I recorded a clean guitar track a while ago with lots of unwanted hum and hiss. I couldn't re-record it as it wouldn't match the rest of the album, I couldn't get away with it as it was very prominent, and I couldn't treat it to correct the problem as the hum was across most of the frequency spectrum, and any EQing would destroy the lush clean sound. Or so I thought!
Lo and behold, using several instances of the Vienna Suite Equaliser and Master Equaliser, I was able to reduce it to way below the acceptable noise floor, and make the guitar track sound pristine!
I also could not have done this without Dietz and his recommendation of Mixing Audio: Concepts, Practices and Tools by Roey Izhaki, which I cannot recommend enough. So, thank you Dietz and VSL!
