Hello,
I recently purchased my first Vienna library, Special Edition Vol. 1: Strings. I'm on Windows 7, 6 GB of RAM.
My primary hard drive is a SATA and my secondary internal drive is ATA. Both are 7200 rpm.
Which would you recommend for storing my library?
Thanks,
Mike

Library on Primary SATA or Secondary ATA?

Hi GigEm,
As you like. The standard VI player doesn´t take advantage of SSD drives yet (only VI PRO does), so it will not be that much of a difference, although the SSD drive will get you better streaming results.
You can compare it as well - simply copy the data and assign either location to the Directory Manager by drag and drop. Make sure that you only have one location assigned, to avoid confusion.
Best,
Paul
