  • Performance is no different. It will give the same CPU load as the VEP version.

  • This is brilliant.  Honestly I had stopped using MIR awhile ago since it was so quirky using in a traditional mixing project.  Will definitely revisit it now.

  • Using VEpro an a slave computer, I guess MIR VST plugin should be useless for me? I'm talking about license as eLicenser key's plugged to the slave computer so I can't use MIR on master's DAW, am I right?

Excited about trying this! Not sure if I should start a separate thread for this but since question was asked I thought I'd extend it a little...

I was wondering same thing, I have been using DAW on one computer and MIR on one computer and doing some crazy routing to have all my plugs show up in same room. Takes too much time when I'm trying to work quickly and I am sure I am not getting best results. Will it be possible now to run MIR Pro on my host and slave computers w/o buying 2nd license. Or is there a way to make this happen at reduced rate, it will be too difficult at this time to justify two full license so any advise would be appreciated 😊

Starting from the upcoming VE Pro update, MIR Pro will no longer be included with the VE Pro installer, so you'll have to install MIR Pro separately after VE Pro on the slave to make MIR Pro available in VE Pro (or any other host). This was done for several reasons, amongst which avoiding distributing duplicate data in different installers. As a result, the VE Pro installer will also be quite a bit smaller in size from the upcoming update onwards.

  • Thanks Karel but Just so I understand, Since both items Pro 5 and MIR are installed in both host and slave. All I need to do is update in this order: 1st PRO 5, then MIR...

Since there is no read me file included in 5.1.11685 I hope I am understanding as I hate make changes without understanding flow lol

    Thanks

As long as you don't want to use MIR Pro on your VE Pro slave any more, you can simply move your MIR Pro license to the eLicenser of your master DAW and use the MIR Pro Plug-In directly in your DAW.

    Kind regards,

Ok, I understand... So I guess this answers to Kzarider post, I was thinking about the same... MIR will work like an usual plug and will be split from VEpro in the future. Useless to me for now till future VEpro update 😊

    Thank you for the infos

  •  After working with the demo more today I'm still pleased. Took it through it's paces without any crashes, major issues & not as cpu intensive as I thought it would be. (Win7 x64 i920 12g )

    Impressive software.

  • Very happy with the plug-in - it's just what I needed for my Pro-Tools setup! Congratulations on a job well done[8-|]!

  • Hi everybody, I downloaded the test version of MIR Pro 24 and it works very well. I was a bit a sceptical because my PC is a bit of a lame duck (i5/8GB RAM), but there haven´t been any problems so far! Even a mixing template with all 24 instruments runs smoothly in Cubase 6 (as inserts in audio tracks - its a different story with instrument tracks, but I don´t use them for mixing anyhow). Just in case there are other users with older machines considering a try...

  • Thanks for the positive feedback, Merapi! Highly appreciated. :-)

Yes, it's true that MIR Pro's own RAM requirements are "modest" enough to make it work on 8 GB. It's a different story when the demands of virtual instruments add to it, of course.

    Kind regards,

  • I can't tell you how happy this had made me.  I never could get it to work with Ensemble Pro 5 inside of Sonar and had to use the old method of standalone with LoopBe.  That was a painful setup to use.  This new VSTi plug-in is what I dreamed of when I bought MIR after it first came out.  It works like a champ with Sonar X2.  Now I have that beautiful sound with ease of use inside of Sonar.  Thank you so much for this and bravo to the software engineers!
