C.P.E BACH - Flute concerto Wq22 - 1st movement
Hi everybody, we are always at 18th century ... here is the first movement of one flute concerto of this wonderful son of J.S Bach (no matter if JS didn't like the music of his son ...). Performed with Chamber strings, solo strings, Flute and harpsichord. Enjoy ! Best. Philippe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcFTR3IiGso&feature=plcp

Philippe, It sounds extremely good, great work! The flute should be louder and closer in the mix I thought. Maybe a few trills could be more defined as trills? Or maybe they are just written as ornaments so that wouldn't apply. Anyway the overall performance is very characteristic and Baroque in feel and sounds excellent.

I listened again and was impressed even more. It is very significant that this kind of performance is not just using the samples to get any orchestral sound you can, but a specific Baroque style.
I guess this used the Performance trills? Actually those are probably best for this. The only thing I did react to critically is I wanted the flute to sound like it was closer, a tiny bit louder and clearer, more defined and breathy maybe. At around 1:10 it actually gets lost among the violins. But that is a tiny thing - this is fabulous! I think this is so good you must do all the concerto!

Hi Tom, Errikos, Tom and Goran,
thanks for your support.
@Errikos. I don't use MIR here [:$] but just Altiverb.
@William. All the trills and ornaments are "hand made". I have made a new mix, according to your comment about the flute (closer). Is that was you was thinking about ? : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZGpqJzalCE&feature=plcp
Best.
