    Hi everyone!

    Here's the situation:
    previously I worked on a PC with an Alesis FireWire external audiomixer. I had Sibelius 6.2, Nuendo 3 and Vienna Ensemble installed. Everything worked and was linked together via that external device.

    Jump forward: I've got a new system (notebook) and do not intend to use any external mixer. I thought it should be possible nowadays, with 64-bit OS, and lots of RAM, to keep everything inside 1 system.
    But, unfortunately, I cannot get these things to communicate. Nuendo does not see VE or Sibelius, and not one of these programs seems to be able to route their (MIDI) signals internally.

    Help!
    Please, any advice or suggestion would be most welcome!

     If Nuendo does not see VE then you haven't set the plugin path correctly in the Devices menu.

    Regarding Sibelius, what are you expecting to do? The only possibility would be to use Sibelius as a Rewire slave. Failing that, you will need a virtual MIDI cable installed, if you want to send MIDI from one application to another.
