Hi all,
I am every day doing more and more mockups and interested in hearing some of your "I absolutely cannot live without" ideas for doing midi mockups. I am in essence looking from within your ideas, perhaps ways to speed up my workflow using hardware/software that I don't even know exists. For instance, I recently learned there are "breath controllers" and its uses. I prefer to do as much as possible in the recording live phase of my mockup so the more power I have with that stage the better.
Then there is the editing phase, what strategy or tool do you use to say quickly change note attacks, or finish setting up your keyswitches? I read that LEMUR made an iPAD app and I know a few people here use the hardware version.
For me, I simply cannot live without my iPAD controller systems now (I use V-Control and AC-7). They have cleaned up so much clutter on my desk and sped up my process tremendously. Another thing that I feel speeds me up are my templates. However, the intrumentation doesn't always add up. But having the controllers and plug-ins etc all ready to go sure does save tremendous time.
So what do you use that helps speed your workflow up?
