    Sorry if this has been asked before, but in Logic the CPU meter seems to go down and not up when you set the latency to 0.

    Is my brain back to front? (In this context, not in general. :) )

    Depending on the host buffer size, 0 latency can be preferable. In general, using a latency setting that is lower than your sound card buffer size (Latency 256 when runniung 512 buffers) will give you worse performance than using 0 latency. Using higher latencies than your soundcard buffer will lower CPU usage.

    The latency will be higher, but the performance will be the best (lowest CPU usage)
