  • Dimension Brass piece with percussion

This is a piece using Dimension Brass (and some percussion and piccolo).

  • Very, very good. Could be significantly polished in sound, but is already excellent in the musicality of preformance department. The overall sound could be less dry and better differentiated spatially.

  • Marko - are these double and triple tonguings 'rep patches' or played in?

  • That is a really nice piece, and Ithe little piccolo accents and figures are a great idea.  I don't agree it should be less dry since that would muddy the precise articulations.  But you could possibly have the same dry/wet with a bigger reverb.

  • Thanks goran.

    Rob,

I used the repetition crescendo patches a lot throughout this.

Thanks William. Those piccolo scale runs just seem to fit.

  • Thought so.  I LOVE my VSL rep patches.   So convincing.

  • wacky. quirky, and unpolished - I like it!

all those fast repetitions are certainly a matter of taste, but, hey, it's your composition....

  • "wacky. quirky, and unpolished"

The wacky and quirky strands are probably personal properties of yours truly, but the unpolished character may be due to the humanize settings used in the brass.

    Thanks!
