  • Grace Notes in Orchestral Strings

I don't seem to be able to control grace notes in Orchestral strings. I am using a midi file exported from Sibelius into Cubase.

I have muted the acciaccatura and slightly shifted the principal note so it starts at the correct time but the grace note itself

is too long - too slow. Is there a simple way of adjusting this. I can get the correct time by using two notes e.g staccato and detache but

the effect is not really a grace note.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

  • If the grace-note samples are too slow the best alternative would be the legato_fa or the performance trill articulation.

  •  OK Thanks  I'll try this.

  • If you have VI Pro, have you tried time stretching the sample to your liking?
