  • Vienna Instruments Pro - Mixer problem

Hello everyone! I am just testing the VIPro and have problems getting my accents to work. The accents are played by 2 different samples from my Special Edition Plus library: Sustain and staccato. Both are set on two different channels which are called 1a and 1b. My problem is, that the channels of b arent hearable for me. The accent matrix doesnt sound right, only the staccato samples are hearable because the sustain samples are on channel 1b. This problem exists in every instrument I have and in every matrix where the b channels are being used. I have to add, that I used this "convert into VIPro" feature. The problem does not occur when I make a fresh new channel with VIPro. Is there a quick solution or am I forced to make a completely new orchestral setup? :(

  •  Hi Intero,

if you layer patches which are placed on the right side (b) of the patch racks in VI PRO and you don't use these slots for crossfading, you have the set the Slot Xfade slider to maximum value. This is a new VI PRO feature. The regular VI use this slider only when cell crossfade is set to active between cells, but VI PRO uses also this slider for just for leveling the volume of the "b" patch rack area.

So you can easely adjust the balance of two layered patches on the fly riding the Slot Xfade slider.
