    Hello community, I´m desperately trying to find an answer to my problem: I start and stop the music in Logic by pressing the space bar. But this doesn´t work anymore as soon as the VE is marked/tagged. I would have to click on the arrange window again. This gets some kind of annoying after a few thousand times of clicking back and forth. Any help is highly appreciated!!! Thanks! So long, Belush :-)

    Sorry to say that, but you’ll have to deal with that. VI / VE aren’t a AU PlugIn like Kontakt, which is treated like an addition of Logic, but are run as a seperate software, which is connected to Logic via the „server interface“. So whenever you make a click into a VI Window you actually leave logic, thus makin all of logic’s shortcuts unavailable.

     I think the behaviour is changed in VI Pro, so I would suggest checking the demo out.

    Another possible solution would be to use a transport control, like the one on the Korg NanoKontrol, or TouchOSC if you have an iPhone/iPad. If your Mac came with an Apple remote then you can also use that to control the transport in Logic. Of course all of this may be more fiddly that just cmd-tabbing back to Logic. There's a transport control included in my master keyboard and it's now second nature using that rather than the spacebar.

    Thanks for your answers! @DG I checked out the demo of the VE PRO and at least on my Mac it doesn´t work eather :-( But anyway you made me tryout the VE PRO and VI PRO. Thakns for that :-) @ M I have the Korg Nano Kontrol but don´t know how use it as you suggested. Any hint?

    I know that is won't be the way you want it in VE Pro, but are you sure that it doesn't work in VI Pro?

    Well, at least Logic is not responding. But I changed in the shortcut preferences the global commands (I hope that´s the right english translation) to the play button on my korg control and now it works perfectly! Thanks for that!!!

    @ DG: You are right! It does work with the VI PRO!!! Sorry about that, but I thought we were talking about the VE PRO.
