  • Ensemble Pro and Ivory....?

If I understand correctly, EP lets you run AU instruments as well as Vienna. I installed Ivory 1.7 on my system with all drivers, AU, VST, and RTAS. When I run Logic, it shows up under AU, but with EP, it does not. Any reason why?

  • There could be many reasons why VEP doesn't see Ivory, but I would first of all check that you're not trying to load a 32bit AU in a 64bit server, and that the correct patch for you plugs has been set in the VEP Preferences.

  • VE Pro on OS X only hosts AU, for which no plugin path has to be setup.

  • OK, so why is it not showing up?

  • You are most likely trying to open a 32-bit AU in 64-bit VE Pro. You should use 32-bit VE Pro for 32-bit AU's.

  • Karel,

That was the problem. i didn't realize that the 64 bit program would not run 32 bit plugins. Kind of a bummer. I'm assuming if I want to run the 32 bit version to utilize Ivory, I'm limited to 4 gig of ram. If so, it is what it is. i'm also trying to see if the 32 bit version gives me less dropouts. that would solve both problems I'm having.

    Thanks
