    Looking in Cubase 6's plug in information it says that the 64 bit versions of VE pro and VI pro are vst 2.4.0,

    with the

    dll of VE pro version 4.1.1.0.0 and the

    dll of VI pro version 1.0.0.0.

    Is that correct / as expected ?

    I read in a post (which one was it ?) about vst 3 versions and Cubase expression,and now wonder if I did install something wrong last December.

    If anybody knows what it "should" be I'd would appreciate to hear about it.

    You should have both VST2 and VST3 versions of VE Pro (I can't remember about VI Pro). You can also check by looking at the VSTi rack and see if you have Vienna Ensemble Pro with a /// next to it.

     I've got VE Pro showing in Cubase (V5.5) as VST 3.0.2 (version 4.1) and VI & VI Pro showing as VST 2.4 (version 1.0.0.0).

    I don't get a VST 3 version for VI or VI Pro, but you should see ///Vienna Ensemble and ///Vienna Ensemble Pro, but Vienna Ensemble Pro X64 is not shown as VST3,

    Vi and VI Pro doesn't really make any sense in a VST3 version.

    If the instruments are opened in VE that is correct.

    Is it correct that my VE pro 4.1 in 64 bit a 2.4 version, while the 32 versions are 3.0.2 ?

    No, the VST3 version also comes as both 32-bit and 64-bit, but isn't tagged that way. In 64-bit Cubase you'll automatically use the 64-bit VST3.
