  • How does stretch work in VI Pro?

I cannot get stretch to work in VI Pro, can anyone show me how this works, this is what I have tried:

selected patch (Dimension brass "13 Tr-P1_dyn_4s")

Click on STRETCH at bottom right

    Set stretch to 150%

    Name folder as "VSL Stretch"

    Name as 13 Tr-P1_dyn_6s TS

click on STRETCH (doesn't seem to be any processing time, I would have expected a bit of calculating time ?)

Scroll down Patch list to VSL Stretch folder and drag the newly created file (13 Tr-P1_dyn_6s TS) to a cell in a matrix.

But no sound at all, the wavecount says 38 which is right, but the velocity layers says "-" which I doubt is right, the AB switch has gone to No as well (it should be Cres/Dim).  The file created on the drive is 4Kb, I was expecting to see a somewhat larger file, the drive has 276Gb of free space,

so where am I going wrong?

  • Hi Andi,

Which version of VI PRO or VE PRO are you using, on which OS, in which sequencer?

You are actually doing everything correctly, so we´d like to look into this.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  •  Hi Paul.

I am using VE Pro with VI Pro (Window 7 64-bit) networked to Cubase 5 (Windows XP 32-bit), but at this point I am just playing the keyboard (same if I click on the keyboard in VI Pro).

I have just tried the same thing but using a patch from Trumpet in C (13 TrC_dyn-me_Vib-4s) and that worked all OK, it seems to be the dimension brass patches  - maybe it's because they are mono samples?

    Hi,

This should be fixed with the latest VI PRO build 1.1.7644, VE PRO build 4.1.7644 respectively.

    Best,

    Paul
